ALGIERS, ALGERIA – Travellers received great news on the first day of June as commercial flight operations resumed in Algeria first time in over 15 months since the Covid crisis began. Many members of France’s enormous Algerian diaspora want to return home, but with only two flights a week operated by state-owned Air Algérie, they are disillusioned and outraged. On Saturday, Air Algérie announced that it would fly six weekly flights to four nations. (France, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey) and five airports: Paris, Marseille, Barcelona, Tunis, and Istanbul.
